Challenge: As an Editor for The Scene Magazine, it was my duty to make sure we covered shows that would bring readership to the magazine. That meant that I had to assemble a team of writers and photographers and spread them among the participating venues.

However, there was no scheduling system in place and without one we were running a risk of people covering the same shows.

Solution: I have decided to pair up a writer and photographer, based on their genre expertise, making 5-6 teams. Then, I have created a colour-coded Google calendar and shared it with the whole team.

Outcome: The festival went in the best way possible – everyone was responsive and organized. I knew when to expect the coverage from teams and they knew how to manage their time and effort. The Scene website and social media received a lot of traction!
